Databases

The databases should be your first stop for reliable, trustworthy, and accurate information. The databases contain full-text articles from magazines, newspapers, and government reports. These are the sources that teachers want to see on your bibliographies.

Database: Ebsco Health Source Plus

Database: SIRS Researcher

Database: Gale Student Resources In Context

Where to start?

When looking up information on health related issues always be aware of the source of your information. Is the information coming from a site that might be sponsored by a pharmaceutical company? Is the site run by medical professionals? What is the general purpose of the site? The government sponsors a number of excellent health related sites that rely heavily on research data, reports, and analysis.
