Find Articles in Databases

Look for articles from publications like The Economist. These give thorough overviews and well researched information that is for the general public. 

Be a Lateral Reader!

How to Read Laterally:

  1. Jump off the original page to search for more information.

  2. Use click restraint and read through the results before deciding on what to click.

  3. Identify news organizations or fact-checking sites in the results to determine the credibility of the original site.

  4. Use Wikipedia to determine the credibility of the original site.

International Organizations

On most of these sites, you should look for a tab that says "Research" or "Publications." Some may have a dropdown that lists countries or issues.  Ask for help if you can't find what you're looking for.
